Jerries on board
Jerries Restaurant, Bar & Snackette added their name to the list of sponsors for the upcoming Diamond Mineral Water International Indoor Hockey Festival. This is the first time that Jerries has come forward as an official sponsor of hockey after assisting last year in the provision of meals for the neutral umpires.
Proprietor Jerry Bacchus indicated his willingness to support the tournament, adding that he has recognised the great strides the Guyana Hockey Board has made in its effort to develop the sport. Apart from the recognition of Jerries as a sponsor, the festival’s official entertainment calendar will feature a karaoke night on Thursday 3rd December at Jerries on Waterloo Street.
President of the GHB Philip Fernandes thanked Jerries for their support and highlighted the vital importance to the tournament of such sponsorship and towards the development of sport in general.
