Sixty-five-year-old Jaikaran, called ‘Spiker’, died of a brain hemorrhage due to blunt force trauma; he fell and hit his head.
He was found on the Coldingen Public Road, East Coast Demerara last Tuesday. Jaikaran was intoxicated when he left his home around 1:30pm last Monday. He was found around 7:30am on Tuesday.
Jaikaran was discovered on the road by a police patrol, but was reportedly seen since the previous night on the busy roadway.
According to family members, Jaikaran would usually drink heavily, and leave the home to “go walking.”
They told reporters that he was seen that day “around the area,” by other family members and friends.
Family members told Kaieteur News he will be cremated later today.
