B House totalled 550 points to emerge winners of the Essequibo Islands Secondary School Athletics championship held recently at the Wakenaam Community Centre Ground in Good Success.
C House placed second with 528 points while A house came third with 507 points.
B House were spearheaded by Althea Moore who won the shot put, 100 and 200 meters girls U-16 events and Ceon Venture who excelled at the High and Long Jump boys U-20. B House totalled 238 points in the field events ahead of C House 204 and A house 200.
They won the Long Jump boys U-12, shot put boys U-12, Javelin boys and girls U-12 , shot put boys U-16, shot put girls U-20, High Jump girls U-16, long Jump and Javelin girls U-20, 800 meters girl U-16 808 meters boU-14 and 1500 meters boys and girls U-16.
C House won the shot put girls U-12, 3000 meters girls open, 1500 metres boys and girls U-20 1500 metres boys open and long jump boys U-14 events.
Outstanding Athletes will be selected and represent the Wakenaam inter schools championship which will be held on October 8th at the same venue.
