Walton Hall SC will clash with Young Achievers SC in what is expected to be an exiting final of the New Building Society 40 overs cricket competition on North Essequibo on Sunday.
In the second semi-final which was played at the Anna Regina Community Centre Ground last Sunday, Walton Hall defeated Ravens by 6 wickets in a game which was reduced to 33 overs due to rain. Ravens batted first and made 100 all out in 32 overs. Mahendranauth Bennet with 37 and Elroy Stephney 20 were the main scorers as Suresh Persaud, Uvindra Balgobin and Navin Bahadur took three wickets each for Walton Hall who responded with 102-4 in 23 overs. Devindra Balgobin top scored with 38 and Suresh Persaud made 21. Tinnie Rambaran took two wickets in a losing cause for Ravens.
The final is set for the Anna Regina Ground.
