In blazing mid morning sun on another hot and humid day, Chubby Under-13 football was equally hot and productive at the Tucville ground, yesterday.
Uprising shone in all its glory as they inflicted a 10-0 drubbing of Georgetown Football Club (GFC), Camptown was just as devastating in their 8-0 drubbing of Pele while Flamingo marched to a comfortable 3-1 win over Riddim Squad.
Unlike their seniors, these young ball weavers continue to make the most of their chances. Uprising were guided to victory by Nyron Joseph who netted a hat-trick, he scored in the 30th, 37th and 59th minute.
Keyron Heywood (15, 23) and Zachery Garraway (47, 53) each scored a brace with one each from Yannick Garraway (40), Travis Lyken (45) and Wayne Murray in the 56th minute.
Camptown too, were in a no nonsense mood in banging their way past Pele 8-0. Leading their charge was the efficient Azumah Small with a double (34, 51). The depth of the team was on full display, six other players inking their names on the score sheets. Seth Williams (14), Shawn Clarke (16), Osaffo Peters (20), Jason Williams (44), Ozeal Small (51) and Steffon Vandyke in the 57th all making their presence felt.
Flamingo made light work of Riddim Squad to take full points with their 3-1 win. Orlando Richetts touched in two (39, 45) with the other coming off the boot of Colin Waterman in the 25th. Riddim Squad solitary goal was scored by Omali Henry in the 42nd.
The tournament will motor on Saturday at the same venue.
