Lower Corentyne face Upper/Central Corentyne at Albion
The Republic Bank sponsored Under-17 Inter Zone cricket tournament organised by the Berbice Cricket Board is set to commence today with Lower Corentyne taking on Upper/Central Corentyne at the Albion Community Centre ground.
According to the Board, the tournament is developmental in nature as they seek to nurture young cricketers. It will also be used by the Junior Selection Committee to select the Berbice Under-17 elite squad for future coaching and personal development sessions.
The format of competition will be on a two innings two day basis with teams allotted 60 overs in the first innings. All matches will start at 09.00hrs.
Play will continue on Friday at the Blairmont Community Centre ground when New Amsterdam/Canje will oppose West Berbice.
