Five more races comprise the day’s activities and include the K&L over 6 furlongs, the F and Lower over a similar distance and the race between the 2 years olds over 5 furlongs. Then there is the ‘I & J category’ that features local and foreign bred horses.
The day’s activities would culminate with horses in the G&H category battling for supremacy. This race covers 7 furlongs and the winner pockets $140,000 while the runner up wins half that amount. Third and fourth place finishers take home $35,000 and $17,500, respectively.
