DEAR EDITOR,
Godfrey Chance in his letter in the Kaieteur News of 10th August, 2009, lamented the state of Guyana’s cricket and posited the view that its resurgence is probably beyond the capacity of the current Executives.
I can say without fear of contradiction that all Guyanese who love cricket must be concerned at our present standing.
West Indies cricket is near the bottom of the international ranking. Guyana is at the bottom or near the bottom of the Regional ladder.
In other words, we are at the bottom of the bottom.
My question is to the members of the Guyana Cricket Board and it is a simple one, “Are they satisfied with the state of our Cricket and if not, what do they propose to do about it?”
