Staff members of the Brickdam Secondary School were more than elated when they recently received a boost from Scotiabank in Georgetown.
On Friday officials of the bank presented five ceiling fans and a cheque for $10,000 as the school embarks on an enhancement and refurbishing exercise.
Acting Headmistress Donna Williams was very pleased with the gesture since she claimed the school’s interior could become extremely hot and stifling during the daytime. She noted that they would take good care of the items.
Scotiabank’s Relationship Officer, Vibert Jones, said the entity is more than happy to give back to society and emphasized that they would be pleased to embark on other such similar ventures.
