Organisers of the Bare Root Inter-Block Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport sponsored football tournament, has organised a day of football today at the Paradise ground starting at 11:30am.
The programme will take the form of a 5-a-side extravaganza involving Under-15 and senior teams. The areas taking part are Bachelors Adventure, Paradise combined, Melanie, Dazzell Housing Scheme and Bare Root.
Several prizes will be at stake, organised by Parliamentary Secretary in the Sports Ministry, Steve Ninvalle, who will be present to meet and interact with the players today.
Coordinator Aaron Blackman informed that this event was a sort of dress rehearsal for the Inter-Block which gets underway on August 15 with competition in the Under-17 and senior categories.
The fixtures for opening day will see Melanie facing Bachelors Adventure/Paradise Under-17s at 3:00pm, while the senior players of the two sides will collide in the second match at 4:30pm.
August 16 Bare Root clash with Dazzell HS in junior and senior matches, August 22 Bachelors Adventure/Paradise plays Bare Root, August 23, Bare Root clash with Melanie, August 30 Melanie battle Bachelors Adventure/Paradise, September 5 Melanie oppose Dazzell HS.
The third place games in the two categories will be played on September 6 with the grand finale on the 12th at 7:00pm at the Paradise ground.
