Arrowhead Promotions will be revealing its plans for “an even more fantastic celebration of Guyanese music” when local celebrities, music industry officials, corporate sponsors and media representatives converge on July 31, for the official launch of the 2009 Accolade Music Awards of Guyana.
The Royal Pavilion at the Regency Hotel is the venue for the VIP launch night.
Celebrating the growing popularity of Guyanese music, the launch night will also feature the official release of the 2009 Accolade Nominations Roll which will include a variety of new and established artistes representing various genres from traditional to urban.
The roll will set the stage for competing acts in categories such as Soca, Reggae, Hip-Hop, R&B, Gospel, Video and Music Production, drawing artistes from all different spheres of the local arts scene.
Arrowhead Promotions is well on the way to taking Accolade to another level, inspired by the phenomenal amount of positive feedback from the reviews of the inaugural event, last year.
The launch will involve corporate sponsors and other stakeholders to unveil elaborate and extensive plans to once again bring audiences and industry representatives a memorable event.
Accolade is the premiere award show created for and dedicated to the development of the local music industry as it seeks to inspire, motivate, honor, and assemble the best and most innovative talents among the crop of musicians in Guyana.
The Accolades not only showcases various genres of music, it also highlights supportive components of music entertainment, such as media outlets that cover local showcases and Record Bars that promote local music, radio stations and personalities who go above and beyond to play local music, promoters and managers who work tirelessly to ensure local artistry is continually in motion.
