Referee Stanley Lancaster, Assistant Referees Dion Inniss and Venton Mars are presently in Long Beach, California attending the CONCACAF Elite Referees Course.
The Course, which is being held from June 28 – July 1  in conjunction with the FIFA Referees Assistance Programme (RAP), has attracted over 60 of the Confederation’s  top match officials. The purpose of this seminar is to develop uniformity in the application of the rules in CONCACAF regional and FIFA competitions. It is also specifically to prepare the men who will be officiating in the Gold Cup and Champions league, which starts within days following the Gold Cup final.
Reports coming out of the US indicate that the Guyanese trio was successful in the FIFA Fitness test which was conducted earlier yesterday at the Home Depot Centre.
