Gavin Todd defied inclement weather and a strong field to secure victory in last weekend’s, GEB Security Service sponsored Medal Play Tournament, at the Lusignan Golf Club.
Playing off a handicap 24, Todd recorded a net 63 from a gross 78 in capturing the win from 26 other players, who battled early showers and overcast conditions.
Mark Lashley (handicap 28) finished in the second position after he registered a net 69 from a gross 97, while Ian Gouveia (handicap 13) was third with a net score of 71 from a gross 89.
Santo Dinanauth won the lowest gross and Nearest to the Pin prizes.
GEB’s Coordinating Officer James Bowman, who represented Managing Director Maurice Amres said his company was pleased to sponsor the event.
Bowman also presented trophies to the outstanding players in the presence of President of the LGC Mel Sankies, Secretary Ronald Bulkan and Club Captain Jerome Khan, who expressed their appreciation to GEB for the sponsorship.
