Police on the West Coast of Demerara are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 19:50 hours last night at Zeeburg, during which businessman Looknauth Kawall, of Parika, East Bank Essequibo, was attacked and robbed by two men armed with handguns.
According to the police, Kawall was making a delivery of cooking gas from his motor vehicle when he was confronted by the men who held him at gunpoint and took away $300,000 and a cell phone after which they escaped.
