The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) Schools Tag Rugby championships, which began last Saturday, involving 10 of Georgetown’s leading Secondary Schools, conclude today at the National Park, commencing at 2:30 pm. Participating schools are St George’s Secondary, St John’s Secondary, Dolphin Secondary, Charlestown Secondary, Tucville Secondary, North Georgetown Secondary, South Ruimveldt Secondary, Tutorial Secondary, Christ Church Secondary and Campbellville Secondary.
Four schools in the Under-14 category, Tutorial, North Georgetown/Tucville, Christ Church and South Ruimveldt Secondary, are still to complete their games, while two schools in the Under-16 tournament, South Ruimveldt Secondary and Tutorial, are in a similar situation.
The tournament comes to an end with the finals of the two leading Under-14 and Under-16 schools.
The tournament’s main sponsors are the Guyana Defence Force and the Guyana Olympic Association.
