The National Sports Commission’s Annual Independence Table Tennis Tournament will commence on Friday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The event opens with the 8 years and under Boy’s and Girl’s and the 10 years and under Boy’s & Girl’s divisions. The junior category will start on Sunday, while the senior categories get underway on Saturday May 30.
This tournament is expected to attract the cream of the country’s top players.
Trophies and medals will be presented to the first three finishers in each category.
Interested players can contact coach Linden Johnson on Tel Nos 223-3468 (h) 226-3665/226-3738 (w) 621 7630 (c) or E-mail: [email protected] or at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall after 16: 00 hrs daily. The deadline for entries in all categories is Thursday.
Action on Friday starts at 15:30hrs, while on Sunday competition gets underway from 9:00hrs. Matches continue Monday through to Friday 29 in the junior categories from 16:00hrs each day.
On Saturday May 30, play is set to commence at 9:00hrs, while on Sunday May 31 play get underway at 10:00hrs. The presentation of prizes is set for Monday June 1 at the Sports Hall from 17:00hrs.
