Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson denied Dave Anthony, 39, of 167 Soesdyke Highway his pretrial liberty yesterday.
It was alleged that the accused, on May 11, at the Linden Highway had in his possession 260 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking in narcotics.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison.
The matter has been transferred to the Christianburg Magistrate’s Court for May 27.
