The Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) Annual West Indian Sports Complex Junior Doubles Tournament will be played on May 1-2, at the Queens College Courts, starting from 10:00 hrs.
Among the age groups to be contested in the Boys and Girls categories are: Under-11, 13, 15 & 17 Doubles Tournament.
The GBA is asking all eligible and interested participants to submit their entries before May 1.
The release also added that the GBA is continuing with its push for junior development with the aim of sending a squad to the Pan American Championships which is slated for Puerto Rico in August.
Guyana is expected to do well in this tournament.
Some of the top juniors expected to compete in the tournament include the Ramdhani siblings Priyanna and Narayan, Nicholas Ali, Noel and Shane Shewjattan, Andrew Peroune, Maya Persram, Kevin Quaicoe, Sachin and Armand Ramdhani.
Meanwhile, the GBA is awaiting the use of the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall to stage its senior competitions.
