Although Alpha United lost 2-nil to Tempete FC of Haiti, the Guyanese club was the first Football team from the Land of Many Waters to represent the Golden Arrow Head in the French speaking Island. Although the match was a club affair, the closest the Golden Arrow Head was flown to that country was the neighboring Dominican Republic when the national team trounced the host by 2-1 margin in an Olympic qualifier April of 1987.
