Several top seeds advance to championship round
The National Sports Commission Mashramani Junior Singles Tournament continued on Saturday at the Queens College Badminton Courts with the Under 15 & 17 Singles Events.

A number of the top seeds advanced from the semi-final round to battle in yesterday’s scheduled finals.

In the deciding matches that were contested yesterday, the Boys Under-15 title was to be decided between Narayan Ramdhani and Jason-Ray Khalil; Girls Under-15 Anissa Rodrigues and Anuradha Odit; Boys Under-17 Nicholas Ali and Jason-Ray Khalil and the Girls Under-17 Anissa Rodrigues and Ashley Khalil.
In results from the matches played Saturday were as follows:
Under-15 Boys Singles Semi-finals:
Jason-Ray Khalil defeated Kevin Quaicoe: 21-12, 21-8
Narayan Ramdhani defeated Andrew Peroune: 21-12, 21-6
Third Place went to Andrew Peroune who defeated Kevin Quaicoe: 21-17, 21-13
Under-15 Girls Singles Semi-finals:

Anuradha Odit defeated Tashana Lowe: 21-19, 9-21, 21-18
Anissa Rodrigues gained a walk over from Blossom Dublin
Third Place went to Tashana Lowe
Under-17 Boys Singles Semi-finals:
Nicholas Ali defeated Andrew Peroune: 21-11, 21-11
Jason-Ray Khalil defeated Narayan Ramdhani: 21-13, 24-22
Third Place went to Narayan Ramdhani who defeated Andrew Peroune: 21-15, 21-16
Under-17 Girls Singles Semi-finals:
Ashley Khalil defeated Tashana Lowe: 21-4, 21-4
Anissa Rodrigues defeated Pricilla Moore: 21-15, 21-16
Third Place went to Tashana Lowe who defeated Pricilla Moore: 21-18, 21-18
