Flamingo needles Beacon
Flamingo FC maintained their close marking of leaders BK International Western Tigers and their ambition of graduating to the Premier League ranks, needling Beacon when group of four rivalry in the Banks Beer Division One League continued at the Camptown ground in Campbellville on Wednesday afternoon.
In the tight tussle, Leon ‘Zambuly’ Yaw’s 28th minute strike was the critical factor that separated the two sides.
The two teams battled tooth and nail but the West-based Flamingo came out with three vital points which takes them to 20 just one behind leaders Western Tigers. Beacon remains on 13 with Black Pearl, the fourth team on 11.
Yesterday afternoon at the same venue, the Tigers were scheduled to play Black Pearl.
