When play in the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports Nationwide Inter-Block football competition continued on Saturday evening at the West Demerara Secondary School ground, recording wins were Showtime A & B teams, Samaroo Dam and Canal.
Showtime A got the better of West Side Stars 3-1, Cleveland Walcott in the 5th, Lawrence Barrington in the 9th and Rawle Haynes in the 20th, were the men on target for the winners.
Showtime B were led to their comprehensive 4-0 over Phoenix Park by a triple strike from Wendell St. Hill who netted in the 5th, 13th and 25th minutes. Keiron Boyce tucked in the other one minute before time.
Samaroo Dam, behind a double from Ruel Delon in the 5th and 9th minutes thumped Bella Dam 2-0.
Single strikes by Nigel Garraway (11), Delon Layne (14) and Jermaine Hazel (29) guided Canal to their 3-0 victory over Patentia.
