The Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) of Guyana 10 overs Inter-Jamaat tapeball round-robin cricket competition sponsored by Trophy Stall continued last Sunday at the MYO ground, Woolford Avenue, Thomas Lands, Georgetown with wins for Farm ‘B’, Queenstown and Meten-Meer-Zorg (MMZ) who won back to back matches.
Farm ‘B’ batted first against Cornelia Ida and rattled up 106-5 with Imtiaz Mohamed hitting 33 and Salim Mohamed 24. Alvin Narine picked up 2-22 for Cornelia Ida who fell short, making at 99-7 when the overs ran out.
Alvin Bissoondial’s swashbuckling innings of 55 not out was not enough to see his team to the winning score. Fazim Inderjalli took 2-8.
Queenstown defeated Kitty: Queenstown batted first and made 115-7, Imran Ally stroked 32. Bowling for Kitty Ahmad Bahadur took 2-23 with one each for Ashraf Rahim and Ceon Bovell.
Kitty were limited to 84-6 in response, Ahmad Bahadur led with an unbeaten 29. The main wreckers with the ball for Queenstown were Naresh Kallap 2-12 and Dane Austin 2-9.
Meten-Meer-Zorg beat Hustlers XI: Hustlers XI took first strike managing 95-8 from their overs with Troy Khan hitting 31 and Balbinder Persaud 28. Bowling for MMZ Melvin Shivpersaud had 2-19, Amrit Jairam and Mahendra Nandkishore supported with 1 apiece.
Zamal Khan lashed 39 and Amrit Jairam 19 as Meten-Meer-Zorg reached 96-6. Bowling for Hustlers XI Arshad Ali picked up 2-20.
Meten-Meer-Zorg overcame New Mosque ‘B’: New Mosque took to the crease first and could only muster 75-6. Amzad Ali 23 and Navin Persaud 16 were the main contributors with the bat. Doing the damage with the ball for MMZ were Melvin Shivpersaud with 2-14 and Zaheer Haniff 2-17.
In reply MMZ lost just 3 wickets as they reached 76, Amrit Jairam was among the runs again with a well played 27, Mahendra Nankishore supported with 16.

3 pm – Cornelia Ida vs Kitty
